This game genuinely hit like a crack to a drug addict and this is coming from someone who never play's any rogue-like or rogue-lite games before. You can keep playing all day long looking for new interaction's and boon's combo's, every little dialogue is unique and 70% of it is always funny in some way especially Zagreus and Hades sarcastic nature, always gotta be my favourite interactions when you renovating the house. tldr this game is fun asf and if you unfamiliar with rogue-like games this is the perfect start, lwk got me interested to buy The Saac, also can't wait to play Hades 2. Hermes is the best boy btw

I'm new to the Roguelike genre and boy what an introduction. this game is awesome! The gameplay loops are so addicting, and despite it being the same thing over and over, it never feels repetitive.

I really don't know why people think this game is as great as they say it is. The voice-acting and writing are awful, I was skipping most of the dialogue after the first two or three hours because it was making me literally cringe. I love the concept of this game and the gameplay is decent, but the writing and voice-acting made it unbearable. Maybe you'll like it, but it wasn't my cup of tea. If you want a game like this that I think is good, play Dead Cells, Risk of Rain 2, Risk of Rain Returns, The Binding of Isaac, or Ball X Pit, but Dead Cells is the closest comparison to this specific game.

Hades... Not that this game needs an introduction from the already overwhelmingly positive reviews it has. From the prospective of someone who has never really played or given a chance on Rouge-lites. Was never interested and generally would be bored of this genre of game. However, Hades is very different! Firstly, I played this on my Steam deck, it runs beautifully, and is a very bug free game, good start. I got this due to its highly recommendation on both steam and other sites as one of the best in it's genre, and steam deck game. My new job was requiring me to look at alternative ways to play games and entertain myself, And I am glad I did. Having played a few other Rouge Lites, or possibly Rouge games? I found they can be very daunting in the difficulty, its a genre that usually requires you to get better instead of the game getting easier, Like a RPG. I will admit, I went for God mode. I have since played without, and I do enjoy it, however without it, I feel I would have abandoned the game sooner. It allowed me to appreciate the game, the story and the mechanics. It's a great game for a few reasons, The Story; It's a well known piece of history, or mythology, I was

i've always been a fan of supergiant games... and i'm sure nothing i'll say is new but i just want to get my two cents out. hands-down the most gorgeous art style i've seen in a roguelike wonderful voice acting and heartfelt story zagreus may be a god... but he never really feels like one so much content... like so much... i've had hades since launch but haven't really had the time to wrap it up until recently... it's a very solid roguelike (i know it's lite but whatever man...) with an in-depth(?) boon system that helps you progress through the different levels of the underworld to escape. it feels really good to get the hang of the enemies and bosses and learn their attack patterns and spawning quirks. learning how to weave attacks between dashes, using your cast effectively, and learning each individual weapon (and their aspects!) is a whole lot of fun! it's an easy-to-pickup but difficult-to-master hack-n-slash at its core... and while i do recommend the game and do think it can be fun... the voice acting, story, and art direction are doing a lot of heavy lifting here... i've 100%'ed the achievements and wanted to 100% the game as well... but after looking through w

I've put about 30 hours into Hades, and honestly, this game feels completely unbalanced. It's either ridiculously easy or unbearably tedious. In Hades II, pretty much any build can be developed throughout the whole run into something genuinely strong, sometimes even overpowered. In the first game, you often need very specific key pieces for a build to actually work. If you don't get them, the game turns into a tedious experience with borderline Soulslike gameplay, where you're running circles around enemies like Benny Hill because your damage simply isn't there. At that point, it becomes a pure DPS check. The rooms are another problem. You can steamroll the entire run, destroying everything in your path, and then suddenly enter one room that completely shuts you down because of one particularly nasty enemy combination. And that's probably my biggest issue with Hades I. In Hades II, I genuinely enjoyed building around every weapon and experimenting with its mechanics throughout the whole run. Here, that feeling disappears. There's very little motivation to learn different builds or grind through rooms when you already know that, unless the right combination drops, the run is going t

Let me preface by admitting that I'm not a fan of rogue-like games as I find the games' gameplay repetitive and story aspects to be generally weaker than other genre (e.g. RPG). I gave Hades a try since the reviews were glowingly good but unfortunately, it's just not enjoyable experience for me. You will attempt the first 25%-50% progress many many times. Some rogue-like games are forgiving, by allowing you a shortcut to new areas once you beat certain bosses - but no, Hades requires to play from the first level EVERY time. you literally start from the very beginning even if you die at the final boss. Some early bosses even gets buffed up (alternate versions) once you beat them, which makes progresses and grinding excruiciating slow. As my character slowly gets stronger, the bosses ALSO gets stronger - so how the heck is the player suppose to make significant progress? Also, some important mechanisms were not explained well e.g. reward for nectar gifts, weapons upgrade, getting diamonds/blood titans (you need these to progress easier) While i did spend many hours to complete and enjoyed some parts of the game. I should warn casual players to beware - this game is not meant for e

I originally played this on the switch. I have over 300 hours for it on my switch account LOOOOL Absolutely and HIGHLY recommend to anyone who loves a good dungeon crawler as well as a greek mythology nerd as myself. The appeal for me was the greek mythology and the fact it was a dungeon crawler was a pleasant surprise ! The story of Zagreus is very intriguing as he comes across other characters of Greek myth. Not to mention all the boons and even banes one can acquire for the prince. Also adore the personalization to making runs easier or more challenging to keep the game from getting repetitive despite the whole point of the game is to escape over and over again. Supergiants definitely outdid themselves with the game mechanics, design, story, and acting all in one here
