Palworld gives you options ... whether you die and lose your items or not; how much daylight and night you want; gives you many options to breed pals and; most of all since I'm an elderly and had a stoke, it allows the option to make the fight less difficult.

This review will probably go unread. It probably won't say anything that hasn't been said a thousand times. But I'm just gonna leave one here just to add another number to the counter to praise the glory of Pocketpair and implore you to give it a try. If anything, to give GameFreak and Nintendo the finger. Growing up with Pokemon as a kid. Running home right after school every day in hopes to catch the last 15 minutes of the show. Linking up our gameboys to trade Pokemon during lunch and recess. Those memories are forever ingrained in me. As I grew up, I've always hoped Pokemon would grow up with me, but Nintendo and GameFreak had other ideas. They still think we're no better than the kids they market their games to. But I'm sorry. Enough is enough. How lazy can you be when a $7M game made by a small studio surpassed everything you've ever done in the last 30 years? What is your fkn excuse? Is Palworld perfect? Hell no. There's still some glitches here and there. Things can act whonky sometimes. But PocketPair had a vision and chased it. Nintendo and GameFreak lost that decades ago. Their only vision now is just greed, and they'll treat you like you're that innocent, naive child b

Real-life socializing can be exhausting, but Palworld gave me a little virtual sanctuary to escape to. This was the very first game I booted up on my brand-new PC, and it quickly became my absolute favorite. Outside of gaming, real-world interactions can feel overwhelming. There's always so much unspoken tension, subtle mind games, and endless social hoops you have to jump through just to fit in. But none of that exists here with the Pals. I don’t have to overthink anything around them. They feel like my pets—almost like family. They stay by my side, keep the base running, travel with me through the wild, and never ask for anything complicated in return. Just sitting in my base and watching my Pals go about their little routines honestly feels like coming home. It genuinely feels like a warm, safe space tucked away right inside my computer. Beyond that cozy comfort, the core gameplay is rock solid. You get to explore a massive open world, hunt down rare Pals, build your base from scratch, and slowly grow your settlement. You can challenge tough bosses whenever you're ready, or just wander around and take things slow. There’s zero pressure to rush. Playing with friends is a blast, b

DNR when I play so many hours? Yes because the devs need punished. This game is shy of greatness and its entirely the decision of the devs to DELETE THEIR OWN STORY ENTIRELY to benefit streamers and speed runners (their own words in their 1.0 patch notes) Whatever they were cooking, it may or may not have been good, but its clear they gave up even trying to cater to streamers. As a result, you are dumped at a single starting point, given a very bland and generic "Boss rush" questline, and have ZERO investment of anything going on in this world. Which is a crime because you can TELL a lot of effort went into designing this world, its Pals, and there is the picked-clean corpse of grand adventure story spread all over the game world. You run round, enjoy well thought out game play loops, catch adorable and well made pals, enjoy fluid and reasonable combat, and even enjoy the brilliance of NO I FRAMES in your desperate dodge roll that actually feels desperate. You even get the enjoy reasonable frame rates and a stable enough game. Its honestly fun. The game, works. No crashes and stable frames, etc + Its moddable +++++ The graphics are nearly perfect state of semi-realism for t

TL;DR bad progression, bare minimum crafting UI, the zone added in 1.0 is too grindy, repetitive and simply boring. While I had fun in the beginning, I doubt I will want to replay this game in the future. The progression is terrible. The world is handcrafted for ground mounts, but flying mounts can be unlocked very early on. World map has nonsensical level distribution of wild pals. In the world settings, the XP rate slider cannot be set to 0. Player also lvls up much faster than pals and there are no separate sliders for XP rate for player and pals. Towards the endgame, crafting recipes are so complicated they are a headache, the UI showing required reagents isn't good either. I need excel spreadsheet in order to know how much reagents I need for the amount of items I wanna craft. It could use some build-tree like in League of Legends items shop, so crafting isn't so confusing. I got to the last zone and after I saw what the gameplay is, I gradually lost desire to kill last boss. Just running around world and killing pals for loot over and over and over... I really hoped I'd like this game, but it's just not done well IMO.

Such nice and chill game! The greatest single player game I've played so far, I love it :)

A great game, but only pick it up if you have friends to play with and plenty of free time—after 40 hours, I feel like I haven't even scratched 20% of it. The progression gets quite grindy over time, so playing co-op makes a massive difference. While survival craft games aren't usually my cup of tea, this is an absolute 10/10 for hardcore fans of the genre. Tip: Grab this fast travel mod to tweak travel restrictions—it eases up on the travel grind and works seamlessly in multiplayer. https://www.nexusmods.com/palworld/mods/3759?tab=description

This is largely a neutral review. So, you saw the youtube videos, the jokes, memes, artwork and so on. Here are the things you wouldn't know by now. * If you played craftopia this is largely the same game. In fact I seemed to even recognize some of the assets. Though most people haven't ever heard of craftopia. * This is not a chill game. It can be very brutal andexhausting. * Base building is not optional. The game strongly forces you to settle down somewhere, and then babysit this tiny piece of land cramming more and more machinery and harvesting more resources for it. * Speaking of which, I played base building (factorio, satisfactory, conan exiles, space engineers, no man's sky, and others), Palworld lacks things here. Existing mechanics are bare bones and so is pal control. For example, there are lazy workarounds. If a pall can't path to a goal, the game just drops the pal in the middle of a base. Sometimes they stand on top of stations, or interact with them at large distance, and so on. * Automation lacks a lot of QoL features. Control over employed pals is not great, you can't queue multi-step item construction, etc. * Combat in the game is mostly fighting turrets. Eve
