It's so long overdue but to finally get around to playing this as a HUGE souls fan and platting the Fromsoft souls catalogue twice and catching up with steam. This was a huge breath of fresh air that I could genuinely recommend to anyone if they wanted to play a Soulsborne. Difficulty modes may sound like cop out for HARDCORE gamers but it introduces a level of chill to the game that I cannot understate is so useful in it's longevity since all gamers now have an entry point without the steep difficulty curve. If you really wanted the "True Souls experience" then us as Souls fans have the Fromsoft catalogue to work through and as long as fromsoft sticks to their guns, I don't think we'll have a shortage of great games to play. So, thank you Neowiz for retroactively giving the community not just a fantastic game but a way for more people to play. Let Fromsoft do their thing and the other developers do theirs <3

I really wanted to enjoy Lies of P, but honestly, it just wasn’t entertaining for me. The combat is solid and the game looks great, but after a while it started feeling more like a chore than something I was actually having fun playing. The constant boss fights, repeated deaths, and slow progression never gave me that feeling of “I can’t wait to play again.” I kept playing because I wanted to see the game through, not because I was enjoying the journey. Maybe it’s just not my type of Soulslike, but for me, difficulty alone doesn’t make a game fun. I need the exploration, progression, atmosphere, and overall experience to keep me engaged — and Lies of P just didn’t do that. My rating: 4/10. Respect to the developers because there’s clearly a lot of quality here, but personally? I was relieved when it was over.

Lies of Peak , but the problem is the dlc included to get 100% achievment , you can't get the perfect game without achievment

Lies of Peak. Great game if you enjoy any sort of souls game. Might as well have been made by FromSoftware. Probably best that it wasn't because they wouldn't have gone for such a great, straight-forward yet esoteric story. The gameplay is great, a mix of Dark Souls and Bloodborne. Definitely make sure to both block and dodge and not just commit to one. I greatly enjoyed the weapon system. I recommend NOT using boss weapons on your first playthrough and just experimenting with the weapons. What I didn't enjoy was this games tendency to throw one new big shiny mini-boss enemy at you (which is great) but then surround him by many other little enemies (which is not great) and cheapen the fight. I would prefer to enjoy the encounter for what it is than dodge a million little attacks. People complain about the linear level design but I personally very much enjoyed it. I'm here for gameplay and story telling, I don't want to get lost in a random maze and lose hours of my time because I don't know where to go. I also don't want to feel like I'm missing just about everything if I don't scour every single corner there is. The DLC is highly recommended once you finish the bas

Undoubtedly one of the best, if not the best souls-like games out there. I would argue this is better than some of the souls-borne games as well! Great pacing, amazing level designs, innovative and fairly challenging bosses without any spammy or ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ moves (on Legendary Stalker difficulty), an interesting story and overall a very polished experience. Was glad to see that there are boss rushes and rematch modes available as well. Now if only the DLC ever went on sale...

Not a bad game, but nowhere near the FromSoftware games I went into Lies of P with fairly high expectations. It is constantly praised as one of the best Soulslikes and often compared to FromSoftware's games. After playing through most of it, however, I honestly don't understand the level of praise. There are definitely things I like. The presentation is good, Krat has a strong visual identity, and the Belle Époque setting mixed with dark fantasy and puppets is interesting. The weapon system, upgrades, P-Organ and weapon combinations are well thought out, and the Pinocchio reinterpretation is a cool premise. The characters and themes are another positive. Some characters are genuinely interesting and can create an emotional connection, while others remain bland or simply serve a specific purpose. The story itself is interesting, although I skipped quite a lot of dialogue because some NPCs talk a lot without saying much. There are also plenty of texts and notes, but I never felt interested in reading them. Fortunately, you understand enough about the world without them. I make plenty of mistakes and don't consider myself particularly good at parrying, but I can often compensate

tl;dr: Don't buy this game if you've read on Reddit/Steam that its parry system is just as satisfying as Sekiro's. By the way, Gemini is the worst companion you'll ever encounter in a video game. Unfortunately, I was naive. I made the mistake of listening to people on the Sekiro subreddit hyping up "Lies of Peak" and claiming that it has an incredibly satisfying parry system. What a load of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. This isn't a rhythm game built around clashing swords. It's a game where parrying is an optional mechanic that you may or may not use, and enemies don't even have a posture bar. The parry window is tight and you have to learn it with considerable precision. The problem is that parrying isn't even necessary to beat the game, so there is absolutely no reason to bother learning it. As a soulslike veteran, I had no trouble whatsoever beating most bosses simply by brute-forcing them with the umbrella (RB, RB, RB, special/fable attack) and dodging at the appropriate moments. The combat at the highest difficulty is laughably easy and barely presents a challenge at all, with the exception of the DLC fights, which, in turn, feel completely unbalanced and are wildly out of line with the difficu
