Didn’t think my first metroidvania would end up being one of my favorite games. Amazing art, amazing music, and the game actually rewards you for exploring instead of rushing through it. Definitely recommend it. CINEMA.

Finished the main story in around 20 hours. Absolute blast, the art, music, characters, and the difficulty made this one of the best gaming experiences I have ever had. I am now 40+ hours in trying to 112% the game and Im still having fun discovering secrets. (Side note. White Palace made me wanna kill myself) :)

This game is so good i cant even describe it with words. The music, the atmosphere, the mystery it is perfect.

I've tried playing this twice now and just can't get into it. It's a perfectly fine metroidvania but I just don't find it that compelling. I don't understand why this game is so beloved. Normally I can forgive pretty middling gameplay if the visuals or story are compelling, but I'm just not fond of either. Not a bad game. Just don't understand why people gush over it

Looks like a really good game, I really like the platforming, combat, and art style. I originally bought this game for Christmas 2017, unfortunately though this is the game that had me figure out that I just don't really like Metroidvania's. There's not many games out there that I really like watching but NOT actually playing, this is one of them.

Great game and a lovely art style with a decent soundtrack. I really did wanted to like this game I really wanted to, but I just couldn't bring myself to finish this game because the combat felt so incredibly simple it became so boring halfway. I legitimately had more fun at the beginning of the game than halfway through because the combat just didn't get any more interesting it barely became any different and still felt so repetitive, having to click the hell out of the mouse to kill bosses or enemies and occasionally shoot a few spells for 99% of the time in the gameplay. I will give them some praise though pogoing off enemies is pretty fun though and some of the bosses are great as well such as mantis lords. I can clearly tell they've spent alot of time designing (SOME of) these bosses to make them enjoyable to fight but even then the game never really clicked on me and I really thought it would due to how praised the game is.
